Your personalised wedding candle comes in an exquisite glass vessel, with a personalised label saying 'Thank you for being my bridesmaid' with their name and the date and names of the happy couple, so they are really personalised to your wedding day.

The candle is then finished off with a seeded paper cover so you can repurpose your candle vessel and grow your own wildflowers. Then topped with a beautiful silver lid and placed into a cotton drawstring Hideaway Home Fragrances bag.

Our candles are all handcrafted with care in the heart of the National Forest, and made from UK Soy Wax which is a carbon neutral product, meaning you can enjoy your candle knowing it hasn’t had a negative impact on the environment.

With approximately 50 hours burn time with a wooden wick. The soy wax burns on average 40-50% slower than paraffin wax. Resulting in long-lasting candles and giving you better value for money.

These beautiful candles come with a wooden wick. Once the wick is lit, it gives out a crackling sound that mimics the crackling of wood in a fireplace.

How to Use

Enjoying your candle safely

Treat your candle with care and love by following a few simple instructions and safety precautions.

This will ensure that you get the very best from your candle, each and every time they are used.

Burning Instructions:

Always place your candle and burn on a level fire resistant surface. A coaster is always good and never leave unattended when lit.

Ensure the melt pool reaches the edge of the candle container before extinguishing, this will help prevent “tunnelling” effect and is especially important during the first burn.

Trim the wick to 5mm before lighting.

We advise on not burning your candle for any longer than the maximum recommended burn time. Optimum burn time is 4 hours.

Keep your candle free from any foreign materials, this includes wick trimming and matches

When only 1cm remains, discard and buy a new Hideaway Candle.

Extinguishing your candle:

Replace the lid to extinguish or use a snuffer. This will prevent your wicks from drifting off centre thus maximising your candle burn time.

Blowing out your candle is not recommended as the liquid wax may splatter and your wick may continue to glow and emit a small amount of smoke – which is natural when you extinguish a candle by blowing out rather than replacing the lid or using a snuffer.

Once your candle is extinguished, allow the wax to solidify and then follow the storage advice.

Want to know how to be sure that our candles are made using 100% natural UK soy wax?

The natural properties of our waxes mean you may see imperfections on our candles - specifically something called “frosting”.

This does not affect the quality of your candle and it will burn well with a strong scent. We use all-natural UK soy wax in our candles and wax melts.

Our fragrances are always phthalate-free and cruelty-free.

All ingredients are vegan, sustainable, and/or recyclable or recycled.
