Enjoying your candle safely

Treat your candle with care and love by following a few simple instructions and safety precautions.

This will ensure that you get the very best from your candle, each and every time they are used.

Burning Instructions:

• Always place your candle and burn on a level fire resistant surface. A coaster is always good and never leave unattended when lit.

• Ensure the melt pool reaches the edge of the candle container before extinguishing, this will help prevent “tunnelling” effect and is especially important during the first burn.

• Trim the wick to 5mm before lighting.

• We advise on not burning your candle for any longer than the maximum recommended burn time. Optimum burn time is 4 hours.

• Keep your candle free from any foreign materials, this includes wick trimming and matches

.

• When only 1cm remains, discard and buy a new Hideaway Candle.

Extinguishing your candle:

• Replace the lid to extinguish or use a snuffer. This will prevent your wicks from drifting off centre thus maximising your candle burn time.

• Blowing out your candle is not recommended as the liquid wax may splatter and your wick may continue to glow and emit a small amount of smoke – which is natural when you extinguish a candle by blowing out rather than replacing the lid or using a snuffer.

• Once your candle is extinguished, allow the wax to solidify and then follow the storage advice.

Relax and enjoy your candle

Warning: May cause an allergic skin reaction. Toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects. If medical advice is needed, have product container or label at hand. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid release to the environment. IF ON SKIN: Wash with plenty of soap and water. If skin irritation or rash occurs: Get medical advice/attention. Collect spillage. Dispose of contents/container to approved disposal site, in accordance with local regulations. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Always extinguish the candle and do not relight when the wax is less than 1cm. Always burn on a heat protected surface.
